The next school year at the North Judson-San Pierre School Corporation will introduce some new faces to the students, as Superintendent Lynn Johnson explained they’ve hired several new teachers. Johnson said the board hired teachers for the elementary school, middle school, and the high school, so every building will feature new instructors for the next school year.
The board hired Brittani Cain and Todd Dermody to teach middle school math; Sandy Carpenter to teach 3rd grade; Lisa Hughes for elementary special education; Joann Gappa, who will teach 6th grade Language Arts; Jacob White to teach high school math; Erin Frick for middle and high school chorale; and Chase Sprouse, who will teach middle and high school band.
“It’s always sad to see people with experience leave, but sometimes it’s time to look for yourself and what you want to do with your future years,” Johnson said. “We’re very excited about the young and experienced people – we have a combination of both – coming to our corporation. They will add so much experience and knowledge to the corporation. We’re very excited to have them with us.” (06-21-13 – Johnson – Have Them With Us)
Johnson said the corporation is still looking for a high school Biology teacher, however, and they’re waiting to hear from interested candidates.
