IU Health is offering free skin cancer screenings at a variety of locations in Starke, Marshall and LaPorte counties next month. Though they are open to the public, the screenings are not recommended for anyone who has seen a dermatologist within the past three years. Screenings will be offered at the Knox Family Medical Center located at 402 W. Culver Road in Knox on Monday, Aug. 12 from 9 a.m. to noon and Thursday, Aug. 15 from 1 to 4:30 p.m. CT. On Tuesday, Aug. 13, the screenings will be available from 11:30 a.m. to noon and 4 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Founders’ Square in LaPorte.
On Wednesday, Aug. 14, screenings will be available at 156 Flynn Road in Westville from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., and at LifePlex in Plymouth on Thursday, Aug. 15 from 10:30 a.m. to noon ET.
In North Judson, the screenings will be offered at 108 W. State St. on Saturday, Aug. 17 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. CT. To register in North Judson, call (574) 896-5533.
