A Waterloo, Ind. man was arrested Friday in Plymouth after an alleged burglary incident.
A resident in the 200 block of Baker Street called Plymouth Police to report a burglary at his home. The victim told police that the suspect running north from the residence toward Centennial Park and he was chasing him. An officer located the suspect in Centennial Park who was identified as 57-year-old Jeffrey B. Lusch.
Police learned that a crowbar was used to force open the back door and Lusch reportedly stole cash from the home before fleeing the scene. The money was allegedly found in Lusch’s possession.
Lusch allegedly admitted that he had entered the residence and stole the cash. The crowbar he used to enter the home was found inside the residence.
Lusch was booked into the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of Burglary as a Class B Felony and Theft as a Class D Felony. He reportedly told police that he is on probation for burglary in Dekalb County. Bond has been set at $50,000 cash.
