Pulaski County is gearing up to celebrate community heritage as GermanFest rolls into Winamac on Saturday, Aug. 10. The festival features traditional German food, cold beverages and live music from the Jay Fox Bavarian Showtime Band. With a family area, games and a variety of same-day activities hosted by local organizations, GermanFest offers something for everyone!
Festival meals that include brats, potato salad and corn on the cob will be available starting at 3 p.m. with an alternative kid’s meal also offered. DJ Fred, a local favorite, will set the mood as he plays everyone’s favorite tunes followed by GermanFest entertainment veterans “Jay Fox and the Bavarian Showtime Band” who will bring their unique brand of music and fun to the stage at 6 p.m.
The Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce, along with a committee of local residents, is coordinating and sponsoring the event. Chamber President Brad Conn affirmed the event is a family-friendly, all-ages event that will bring people together for fun, food and fellowship.
