Handel’s “Messiah” will be performed this Sunday, Nov. 17 in the Ancilla Domimi Chapel on the campus of Ancilla College at 7 p.m. ET.
“Messiah” is considered one of the greatest pieces of Christian music ever written. Embedded in the famous piece is the “Hallelujah Chorus” which is the most familiar movement.
Seven members of the Culver Academies Choir will perform this piece along with the Ancilla Community Chorus, the South Bend Chamber Symphony and soloists from the Chicago Lyric Opera Chorus.
The Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ received a grant from the Marshall County Community Foundation to bring this musical masterpiece to the residents of this community.
There is no admission cost.
