Senator Ed Charbonneau will be visiting Pulaski County for a meet and greet on Monday, offering Chamber of Commerce members and the public to visit and ask questions. Judy Heater, coordinator for the event, said that the senator is coming at the Chamber’s request to be their guest representative this quarter.
Heater said she’s not sure what the senator will discuss, but he will be present to answer questions.
“What I tried to do is make sure that we have somebody there from wholesale, retail, medical, all aspects of our Chamber membership, have a representation from every portion of it and that way they can ask him. He’s there to answer their questions and I want to have him a good overview of people from all different aspects,” Heater said.
Heater said the idea originated from a visit by Congresswoman Jackie Walorski, who visited the county previously to speak to the media and answer questions from residents. That event, Heater said, went very well, and now they’ve tried to make it a quarterly event.
“And since that went over so well and our Chamber members really, really appreciated it, then we decided to just open it up and offer it maybe every quarter to our members and get different representatives, senators, congresspeople, whoever is interested in meeting with us,” Heater said.
Charbonneau will visit the Fox’s Den in Pulaski County on Monday, Dec. 16 at 2 p.m.
