Conner said some seeding and restoration will need done after the winter season comes to a close, but the main water lines have been installed and all houses have been connected to the new line. The project consisted of the installation of nearly a mile of new water line to replace older lines that were around 70 years old, according to Conner.
A lot of the lines that were replaced were old three-inch lines that were getting harder and harder to fix. The town elected to replace the line with a six-inch pipe along Riverside Drive and Monticello, Market and Hathaway streets.
