The Marshall County Council will meet in special session on Tuesday, Dec. 17. The council usually meets on the second Monday of the month, but due to a problem with advertising additional appropriations to be discussed in an open meeting, the meeting was postponed to tomorrow.
Additional appropriations will be reviewed and Commission President Kevin Overmyer will update the council members on the Metronet project. During their most recent meeting, the commissioners approved $500,000 as the county’s payment contribution to the project. The payment has to be approved by the council before the project moves along.
Roger Umbaugh will have a Marshall County Economic Development Commission update and the council will discuss personnel committee recommendations and board appointments.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. ET in the second floor meeting room in the Marshall County Building.
