An employee at Rent-A-Center in Plymouth reported to the Plymouth Police Department that Jeremy Spencer and his wife allegedly sold rented furniture on Craigslist.
Spencer and his wife had rented merchandise in August of this year and officials later determined that he sold the items by listing them on Craigslist. An investigation confirmed that the items rented from the establishment had indeed been placed on Craigslist and sold.
Spencer had moved to Mishawaka and he was located in the St. Joseph County city on Thursday. He was booked into the Marshall County Jail on a preliminary charge of Theft. He had been on probation in St. Joseph County on a Theft conviction. His bond was set at $5,000 cash.
