The Pulaski County Commissioners this week approved a motion to rescind a previous motion to approve the move of the assessor’s and surveyor’s offices. Assessor Holly VanDerAa told the commissioners that she has some health concerns with her new location and said she would like to have more testing done.
Auditor Sheila Garling said she would have to find out much it would cost to have such testing done, and Commissioner Larry Brady asked how much it would be in order for the state to perform the testing. However, VanDerAa said she is under the impression that the state wouldn’t perform any further testing.
The commissioners approved a motion to investigate the cost of further testing. Garling advised contacting the health department to see if they have any further suggestions.
In addition, Commissioner Terry Young rescinded his motion from a previous meeting to proceed with the move, effectively nullifying it and once again delaying the anticipated move.
