This building on SR 8 at CR 550 E will soon house the new Starke County Jail.A special session has been scheduled for the Starke County Commissioners and the Building Corporation to discuss the ongoing construction of the new Starke County Sheriff’s Office and Detention Center. The agenda allots time for an update on the construction, as well as for discussion regarding an additional invoice from Territorial Engineering. A financial report and discussion of claims will also take place.
During the regular meeting of the commissioners, the board will discuss ambulance price quotes and the leave of a prosecutor’s office employee who is not eligible for FMLA. The board will also hear an update on the utility vehicle ordinance and the jail inmate healthcare contract for 2014-2015, discuss an appointment to the Starke County Community Corrections Board, and hear a proposal from Weaver Boos.
