The Knox Community School Board will meet tonight with a full agenda.
One of the bigger items is discussion regarding The Crossing. The Crossing is an alternative school that acts as a second chance for students who have dropped out, expelled, or transitioned to home school.
Knox school officials and a few board members attended a presentation by The Crossing CEO Rob Staley in how their school works and how it could work for Starke County students. Oregon-Davis and North Judson-San Pierre school officials also attended that meeting and are considering a contract to start a Starke County Crossing school.
Each school would need to come up with a certain amount of students to participate.
The Knox Community School Board members will discuss what direction to go during their meeting tonight.
Members will also discuss personnel and the 2014-2015 corporation calendar.
The Knox Community School Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. CT in the administrative office in the Knox Community Elementary School.
