Medaryville Town Council President Steps Down

  
 

The Medaryville Town Council accepted the resignation of President Carrie Hauptli during their meeting last week.

Hauptli will be leaving her seat on the council at the end of the month. Derrick Stalbaum was elected to take her place. The new vice president is Carolyn Hager. Hauptli is leaving the post due to personal reasons.

In other news, the council edited bills for residents who let their water drip during the winter months to avoid frozen pipes. They will edit the past three months of a residents’ average use.

Adjustments will be made for those homes and churches who suffered from frozen pipes over the winter. In all, ten properties were affected at a total cost of $530.70. In calculating monthly corrections and water leaks, $3,348.35 was adjusted.
