The Yellowstone Trail Festival and Hamlet Rendezvous are set for the weekend of Aug. 15.
The festival opens Friday, Aug. 15 at 3 p.m. CT with town-wide yard sales and the tour of Jensen’s Museum of Firearms Cartridges. The opening ceremonies will be at 6:30 p.m. followed by music by Nightshift on the stage at the Starke County Fairgrounds.
The Indiana Patriot Guard riders will be collecting items for care boxes throughout the day on Saturday. Enjoy breakfast prepared by the Knox Band Boosters at 9 a.m., the Miss Yellowstone pageant at 11 a.m., a car show at 3 p.m., tractor drive-in at 4 p.m., and music by Dirt Cheap at 6 p.m.
On Sunday, Aug, 17, biscuits and gravy will be served by the Knox Band Boosters at 10 a.m., the parade will step off at 2 p.m., a demonstration by the Hamlet Fire Department is at 3 p.m. and the awarding of silent auction items at 4 p.m.
Several daily activities will be offered including a mobile reptile zoo, pony rides, Great Adventures Rides, arts and crafts vendors, rendezvous lodges and preppers camp, and challenges by the U.S. Army, U.S Marines and the U.S. Navy.
All festival features and activities will be held on the grounds of the Starke County Fairgrounds in Hamlet.
