The 17th annual Community Christmas Cantata will take place tomorrow at the Knox United Methodist Church. The Community Cantata Choir will present “Born Is the King, It’s Christmas.” This musical event tells the story of Christ’s birth in an exciting and upbeat way. Mae Crider with the cantata says this year’s program is a bit different than in years past.
“We have lots of soloists this year, which is really thrilling. It’s very upbeat. I think the young people would really like this cantata,” said Crider.
Performances will take place at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. CST. The choir is made up of 44 individuals under the direction of Nan Folkers and Brian Liechty. A free will offering will be taken.
