The Pulaski County Election Board is working to make a few decisions about e-poll books.
During their meeting this morning at the Pulaski County Courthouse, board members discussed using the technology in future elections. The board was given approval by the Pulaski County Commissioners and Council to utilize the technology.
E-poll books are typically distinguished as iPads with voting software installed. A swiping device plugged into the iPad better identifies voter registration and identification. Officials believe that the technology would streamline polling on Election Day.
The first time E-poll books are likely to be used in Pulaski County is the 2016 election.
