During the Monday night meeting of the Culver Community School Board of Trustees financial matters were the main focus. Aside from bond opportunity proposals, the board considered dates for advertising fuel bids as well as discussed an increase to adult school lunch prices.
Before the buses get back out on the road, the school corporation must weigh all available options for which company they will use to fuel up. Superintendent Vicki McGuire provided specific dates to the board, “First publication for fuel bids will be Thursday, July 30th, second publication Thursday, August 6th, close bids on Thursday August 13th and accept bids at August 17th board meeting.”
There was unanimous agreement among the board about the dates provided by Superintendent McGuire. The board was also informed that although student school meal prices for the 2015/16 will remain the same, adult lunch prices have increased. An additional 30 cents will now be charged, upping the cost to $3.30. This agenda item was also unanimously approved by the board.
