During their Monday evening meeting, the North Judson Town Council adopted a resolution to approve a town credit card for the utility department. The Council also discussed a resolution dealing with the re-certification of ordinance 2012-06.
North Judson Town Clerk-Treasurer Donna Henry explained that this particular ordinance dealt with establishing town council wards, “In 2012 the cities and towns were required to re-establish their election wards after the 2010 census and we had it recorded but what we didn’t know we had to do was also file it with the county clerk and when we realized that, the county clerk told us that the council just needs to pass a resolution re-certifying that ordinance.”
The resolution passed during the Town Council meeting accomplished that. Henry took the documents to have them recorded, filed and stamped by the county clerk’s office on Tuesday.
The Town Council also received a $225 quote for pest control from Donna Henry, “We, at the council, thought that it would be prudent to go ahead and have the premises sprayed as a preventative measure.”
Henry says that so far she’s only spotted one unwanted insect in the Town Hall building but decided it would be sensible to suggest an extermination.
