Hamlet Council Holds Budget Hearing

Hamlet Town HallA 2016 budget of $405,735 was presented and reviewed by the Hamlet Town Board at a public hearing Wednesday evening. The board will take action to adopt a budget when it meets October 14th.

The Town is making plans to decorate the streets for the fall season and is asking residents interested in helping to contact the Town Hall.

The Board requested a quote to repair and/or replace three damaged fire hydrants.

Continuing education expenses for seminars on water treatment and water distribution were approved for department employee Fred Rowe.

When the Park Board met it approved the purchase of a water fountain and took under consideration the construction of covered bleacher, or other seating, near the basketball area.
