“Homecoming” activities were the focus of reports from the principals of the Knox Community School Board earlier this week. The Homecoming Parade will begin in the Knox downtown area about 1:10 Friday afternoon, ending at the Weinberg Gymnasium for a pep session. The football game, Knox vs. North Judson, begins at 7 p.m.
The Knox Marching Band will be featured at half-time. At Monday night’s meeting of the Board of Trustees, Craige Phipps, the band director, reported the current student band programs have 552 participants, 6th thru 12th grades.
In the “Spotlight on Success” portion of the agenda about a dozen young band members members spoke to the board members about what it means to them to be able to participate in the 9 music programs available.
Athletic Director Owens reported that the football program has 60 participants.
