The Town of Winamac is putting the finishing touches on its new trail.
Town manager Brad Zellers says just a few signs and ADA crossings still need to be installed. The town council discussed the trail during its meeting Monday.
At the meeting, they also agreed to have the swinging bridge in the Town Park inspected. Zellers says the bridge is inspected every two years to make sure it’s safe.
The council also decided to order new bleachers for the Town Park. They plan to get up to 10 sets of five-row bleachers. Zellers says that will put the town in compliance with its insurance.
