A Monday morning home visit by Starke County Community Corrections ended with a trip to jail for a Hamlet man. They contacted the Hamlet Police Department after doing a routine check on 51-year-old Donald Frazier and reportedly finding suspicious items.
Officers executed a search warrant and found a one-pot meth lab and other illegal items, according to a news release from the Hamlet Police Department. Preliminary charges against Frazier include dealing methamphetamine and possession of precursors as level 5 felonies, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of precursors and paraphernalia and violating home detention. The alleged offenses occurred within 500 feet of a park, which is an enhancing factor.
