The Oregon-Davis School Board unanimously voted to accept the 2016 budget during its meeting Monday.
Superintendent Greg Briles says there are no increases in next year’s budget, “As of right now, our budgeted estimate was at $8,236,489. Our maximum estimated funds to be raised as in years previous, will be $3,000,329, approximately.”
The budget calls for a general fund of $4.2 million and a capital projects fund of $1.3 million. Briles says there will most likely be a decrease in the school district’s tax rate.
Also discussed during Monday’s meeting was the corporation’s out-of-district enrollment. Briles says out of the 612 students currently enrolled, about 125 live outside the Oregon-Davis District.
