Pulaski County Republican Party officials will caucus next week to select a new county clerk. Tasha Foerg is stepping down at the end of the year, according to party chairman Blair Todd.

Precinct committeemen will meet Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 5 p.m. at the Pulaski County Public Library in Winamac to choose her successor. He or she will serve the remaining three years of Foerg’s term.

Prospective candidates have until the close of business on Friday to declare their intentions either in the Pulaski County Clerk’s office or to Todd. So far he says the only declared candidate is Pulaski County Recorder Christi Hoffa. If she’s elected, a similar process will take place to fill her seat.
