Issues at the Winamac Town Park will be discussed during a special session of the town council tomorrow morning. Last week, the council voted to withhold a portion of the town’s payment to the contractor hired to remove ash trees from the park.
Confusion over how the trees were marked for removal led to the contractor cutting down some trees that the town planned to remove itself, while other ash trees were left standing. Tomorrow, council members are expected to consider a resolution to that dispute.
The meeting starts at 7:30 a.m. at the Clerk-Treasurer’s Office in the Winamac Town Hall.
