LaPorte County authorities are asking for the public’s help after a spate of burglaries in the Westville and Union Mills area.
More than two dozen burglaries have been reported in the west central part of LaPorte County since they generally started. The suspects have mostly been targeting vehicles in the overnight and early morning hours. The cars, according to authorities, are typically left unlocked overnight.
The LaPorte County Sheriff’s Department is reminding area residents to lock their vehicles, but also to be on the lookout for suspicious activity. Investigators have, so far, not had any luck catching the perpetrators.
Anyone with information on the suspects is being asked to contact the department.
