Knox residents are encouraged to attend a Monday night town hall meeting with Mayor Dennis Estok in order to voice their concerns and ask questions in an informal setting. It will take place at 6 p.m. at the Nancy J. Dembowski Community Center.
It’s the second such meeting Estok has conducted since taking office in January. Since then the city has added a splash pad at Wythogan Park. Estok is finalizing plans to add an ampitheatre between the main entrance and splash pad. Demolition of blighted houses purchased from willing sellers with grant money is ongoing, and the 50/50 sidewalk replacement program is wrapping up.
The city is also in the process of improving its water and wastewater infrastructure with money from a rate increase passed in January.
