The Knox Water Department will be flushing fire hydrants tomorrow morning to clear water lines. Superintendent Todd Gardner says crews will be in the Carlson Subdivision. Star Court, Henry Drive, Airway Drive and Carlson will all be affected.
Residents may notice discolored tap water while the hydrants are being flushed. Gardner says it is still safe for all uses and does not need to be boiled prior to drinking or cooking. The fastest way to flush your service line is to turn on your cold water tap in the bathtub and let the faucet run until the water clears up.
