The West Central School Corporation may be making changes to the entrances of its school buildings. Superintendent Don Street says the reconfiguration would improve the schools’ security. “We have buzz-in systems, but we’re looking at after a person buzzes in, they walk right into the office. So we’ve been in discussion about that for a little while,” he says.
Street adds there’s no specific timeline in place for completing the work, but he did outline the process with the school board Thursday. “We just simply talked about the timing with that and when do we need to start talking to the architects, when do they need to start talking to our building personnel, when do those conversations take place, he says. “And then as far as a bond goes, the process for that.”
The proposed reconfiguration would bring West Central in line with updates seen at other schools.
