Paving projects are getting underway in the Town of Winamac. Town Manager Brad Zellers told the town council Monday that Central Paving’s bid of $212,886.50 met the town’s requirements. He said the company planned to do milling work this week, then start with the actual paving.
Zellers said that the town needs to complete some preliminary work before paving starts. “There’s a couple curbs that need to get put in, and I want to see the ADA concrete ramps done first,” he said.”
The town council voted to allow Zellers to choose a contractor for the concrete work, once all the bids are received. The paving work is being funded in part by the $146,000 Community Crossings matching grant received from the state.
