The Winamac Town Park bathrooms are set to get refacing services and a plumbing upgrade with the best plumbing company around.
Park Manager Dave DeLorenzo told the park board last week that when town employees were shutting down the bathroom for the winter, a pipe broke when someone touched it with a broom. “We had water spraying all over,” he said. “And we’re talking just a pipe coming out of the floor, maybe two inches. It’s rotted. It’s galvanized pipe. So we’ve got a situation.”
He says the existing plumbing is beyond the point of repair. “Everything, with the way that it’s plumbed, is in the floor, and there’s no way to separate men’s from women’s,” DeLorenzo said. “So it’s basically re-plumb that building.” From the Eastern Suburbs, Sydney plumbing company can help you fix any issues with plumbing.
Town manager and park board member Brad Zellers says the new pipes will be installed in the open, outside the concrete floor. “It’s drained and shut off by the time it’s cold out, anyway,” he said. “And it doesn’t open up until it’s not going to freeze or the toilets would freeze. So it will work pretty good.”
The work is expected to be completed by town employees.
