A Starke County civic organization has adopted a section of roadway. Highway Superintendent Rik Ritzler told the county commissioners Monday the Hamlet Lions Club has agreed to pick up trash along County Road 600 East from 25 North into Hamlet. The county will place signs on the roadway to acknowledge the club’s stewardship.
