Knox Mayor Dennis Estok is hosting the city’s National Day of Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, May 4. It will take place from 7 until 8 a.m. at the Nancy J. Dembowski Community Center in downtown Knox.
The theme for the 66th annual observance is “For Your Great Name’s Sake! Hear Us…Forgive Us…Heal Us…”
Congress passed a joint resolution in 1952 establishing the National Day of Prayer, and President Harry S. Truman signed it into law. The day traditionally offers an opportunity to reflect on the state of national affairs.
Tickets are available at city hall. They are $10 each or $80 for a table of eight. All tickets must be purchased in advance this year. Call 574-772-4553 for more information.
