The City of Knox has set the annual spring cleanup dates. Dumpsters will be provided behind city hall May 19, 20 and 21st for residents to dispose of household items.
Clerk-Treasurer Jeff Houston notes the city will not accept appliances, computer monitors or television sets for disposal. He refers residents who have those items to dispose of to the county highway department, where they can be dropped off for a nominal fee.
Houston adds the city will not offer document shredding services this year, as demand has declined.
Instead he says they will invest in additional dumpsters for waste disposal.
