Formal charges have been filed against the LaPorte County man who was captured after a multi-agency manhunt earlier this week.
David H. Lane is charged with attempted murder, burglary, robbery and domestic battery in connection with Monday night’s beating of his estranged wife at her home. She managed to get away from him and called 911 from a gas station.
The LaPorte County Prosecutor’s Office is also seeking a habitual offender charge against Lane. He has previous burglary and forgery convictions and remains in the LaPorte County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
