Pulaski County Council Approves County Home Sale Ordinance

Pleasant View Rest Home

Planning continues for the eventual sale of the former Pleasant View Rest Home.

The Pulaski County Council approved an ordinance Monday that establishes terms. “Dewain Davis will sell it – preferably auction it, but there’s also flexibility to list it, if that proves to be the better option,” Community Development Commission Executive Director Nathan Origer explained.

Davis would receive a five-percent commission, while the county would cover advertising costs. No minimum sale price is listed in the ordinance, but Origer pointed out that the county commissioners could add one when they finalize the contract.

He said a couple people have expressed interest in the property, but he’s not sure how serious they are. The ordinance now goes to the county commissioners next week for their approval.
