The Eastern Pulaski School Board has signed on to an agreement formalizing the school corporation’s use of Winamac’s park facilities.
Superintendent Dan Foster says the Winamac Park Board requested that a facility use agreement be put in place. “We do use the park facility for our softball games and practices,” he explains. “So it’s just an agreement to who’s in charge of what, how we will handle things. There is a lease to it. We will pay the park board a dollar per year for lease, and we certainly appreciate that. So it’s a collegial agreement, so hopefully we’ll work together on that, and I think we’ll be just fine.”
Park board members have said they wanted to clarify whether the town or Eastern Pulaski Schools would be liable for injuries that may occur during school athletic events.
