The North Judson-San Pierre School Board will discuss possible capital projects during a work session this evening in the junior/senior high school media center. Members will also review the corporation’s strategic plan during the 6:30 p.m. session. The meeting is open to the public, but no action can be taken.
Residents are encouraged to stop by the high school cafeteria at 5:30 p.m. to take a guided tour of the facilities.
Superintendent Dr. Annette Zupin says the bond for the auditorium project is almost paid off, so any improvements should have a zero tax impact. She says the board will formally discuss the preliminary project scope, tax impact and potential financing options when they meet in regular session next week.
Previous discussions have included ways to make the buildings more energy efficient.
A community meeting will take place later this month at the auditorium to provide more information about estimated costs and savings and get community input with regard to the proposals.
