National Weather Service Extends Kankakee River Flood Warning

 

The National Weather Service has extended the flood warning for the Kankakee River at Davis/Route 30 until Thursday of next week.

As of 9 p.m. Thursday the river was at 11.3 feet and rising. Minor flooding is occurring, and minor flooding is forecast. Flood stage is 10 feet.

The river is expected to crest near 11.4 feet before falling below flood stage early Wednesday morning. At 11 feet flooding of secondary roads near the river begins.
