Parks in the city of Knox will open earlier following action Tuesday by the city council.
They voted unanimously to amend the hours for Wythogan and Sandy Acres Parks. They will now open daily at 5:00 a.m. instead of 8:30 a.m.
The change was made at the recommendation of the Knox Park Board to accommodate patrons who walk in the parks early in the morning. The Knox City Parks will still close at 10:30 p.m. nightly.
Signs with the hours will be posted at each park.
