Knox School Corporation Hires Interim Superintendent

The Knox Community School Corporation has a new leader. Jim Dermody took over as interim superintendent on April 26.

He previously served as superintendent of the New Prairie School Corporation and also served as interim superintendent at Oregon-Davis for six months last year. Dermody’s appointment at Knox came less than a week after the school board voted to negotiate a buyout of A.J. Gappa’s superintendent contract.

Dermody says the application process for a permanent superintendent begins today. The corporation hopes to have a new superintendent in place by August 1.
