The Winamac Park Board will start putting together next year’s budget during a special session today. While board members consider the budget process to be relatively straightforward, the town may face a few challenges in the future if its swimming pool gets rebuilt.
Winamac traditionally budgets $40,000 in its Recreation Fund for the operation of a pool. However, park board members have yet to put together a more detailed projected budget for pool costs. Meanwhile, they’re also planning a few other projects in the near future, including the renovation of the Town Park’s restroom facilities and a decorative archway at Veterans Memorial Park.
Today’s special Winamac Park Board meeting will take place at 5:30 p.m. at the clerk-treasurer’s office in the town hall.
