The Pulaski County Council and Commissioners will get an update on the replacement of the courthouse elevator when they meet for a joint session this evening. The commissioners agreed last week to move ahead with the design for a new elevator, after the council approved funding last month.
Funding arrangements for the actual construction work still have to be made. In addition to the elevator, Maintenance Supervisor Jeff Johnston will also discuss the County Annex Building with the commissioners and council members.
They’ll also hear from EMS Director Nikki Lowry. She’s been asking for input on whether the EMS Department should get its oldest ambulance repaired or just replace it a bit early.
Tonight’s joint Pulaski County Council and Commissioners meeting starts at 6:00 p.m. in the Pulaski County Courthouse, followed by the regular council meeting at 7:00.
Council members are expected to revisit a request from Pulaski County Human Services to cover the $7,000 local match for a new vehicle. The Pulaski County Council will also consider transfer requests from Prosecutor Dan Murphy and Sheriff Jeff Richwine, as well as an additional appropriation request from Judge Michael Shurn.
