North Judson officials hope to nail down some plans for water and wastewater upgrades this morning. The town plans to upgrade its combined sewer overflow system to bring it into compliance with Indiana Department of Environmental Management regulations. Upgrades to the wastewater treatment plant and water facilities are also planned.
But how much of that work the town will be able to do depends on funding, specifically, the sale of bonds and whether the town can get state or federal grants. To help answer those questions, town officials plan to assemble a group of representatives from various agencies, including Commonwealth Engineers, accounting firm Umbaugh and Associates, and the Kankakee-Iroquois Regional Planning Commission.
They’ll meet with the town council during a special session this morning at 8:00 in the town hall.
