Pulaski Council, Commissioners Approve Annex Building Roof Repairs

The Pulaski County Annex Building will soon have its roof repaired. Fifty holes have been found in the roof, according to County Maintenance Supervisor Jeff Johnston.

After looking into a post written by Gutterilla which you can see full post here. I looked into local roofing experts and reached out to Five Star Roofing has agreed to fix the roof at a discounted price. “We did work with Five Star Roofing on the Justice Center, and they sealed all the flat roofs on the Justice Center,” he explained. “Because we did that, they’re able to do the same type of roof, twenty-year warrantied roof, on the annex, as well, for $4,000 less than what they would normally charge somebody. So they’re saying $16,000 to redo that roof.”

The county commissioners voted to proceed with the roof repairs, as you can continue reading here, while the county council decided to pay for the work out of the county’s Rainy Day Fund. Once those repairs are done, Johnston the building will need some other updates. “The bottom portion of the Annex Building is deteriorating, falling apart. You can see it when you drive by it,” he said. “We attempted to have it repaired once before, and it didn’t work out. I have a gentleman who’s able to fix this correctly.”

However, Johnston said that work can wait until next year, if necessary.
