Sunday is Cancer Survivor Awareness Day. The Starke County Young Professionals group will commemorate the event a day early, according to group member Jessica Craig. “On Saturday, from 8:00 to noon, at Connie’s Salon in North Judson, we’re doing a hair drive event,” she says. “So the haircuts will be $15, which is a reduced price, if you come in and get your hair cut in honor of the day, and we would then be donating all of the hair to make wigs for cancer survivors.”
She says hair collected during the event will go to Wigs for Kids and Lolly’s Locks.
