Emergency crews are on the scene of a two vehicle accident involving semi trucks on U.S. 30 and 800 East in Starke County.
Police say one semi was hauling a combine and it erupted in flames. One driver was injured in the accident, but the extent of those injuries is unknown.
Deputies from the Starke County Sheriff’s Office are on scene as well as crews from Knox-Center Township, Hamlet-Davis Township, Koontz Lake, and Walkerton Fire Departments and Starke County EMS. The initial call came in to the Starke County Sheriff’s Office at 8:57 a.m. CT.
