Winamac Town Council Public Hearing Prior to Regular Session

The Winamac Town Council is holding a public hearing at 5:30 p.m. ET in order to discuss the town water project. Last month, the council agreed to combine the $550,000 grant from the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs with money borrowed from the town’s Electric Depreciation Fund. Community members are encouraged to attend and share their views about the planned water upgrades and facility improvements.

Following the public hearing, the regular session will commence at 6:00 p.m. ET. The council will hear from Don Darda with the Winamac Tree Committee and Courtney Poor, president of the Winamac Parks and Recreation Board. Other matters on the agenda include reports from the Superintendent, Town Manager and Clerk-Treasurer. Both the public hearing and regular session are held at the Winamac Utilities Complex.
