A golf cart rally at 6 p.m. tonight will kick off the 31st Annual Mill Pond Festival. Line up for the rally will take place in front of the clubhouse at 100 Mill Pond Road in Union Mills. Food vendors, craft booths and a beer garden will be open tonight, tomorrow and Sunday.
Saturday festivities start at 8 a.m. with the Lions Club 5K and skeet shoot pre-qualification. Skeet shoot finals are at 1.p.m. The parade will start at the fire station and commence at 10 a.m. followed by an opening ceremony at 10:30 a.m. Canoe rides and games will be available and the beer garden opens at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Sign-up for the co-ed volleyball tournament will be at 12:30 p.m. and the tournament begins at 2 p.m. Saturday night will feature fireworks at 8:30 p.m. Dick Diamond and The Dusters will close out the night with a performance from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m.
There will be an all you can eat pancake breakfast at the clubhouse from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Sunday. Car show registration will run from 9 a.m. until noon and judging and awards will be at 3 p.m. The beer garden opens at noon on this day open-mic-karaoke will run from noon until 4 p.m. the Mill Pond Festival will come to a close at 4:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
