During their meeting Wednesday evening, Knox School Board members unanimously voted to cancel their first meeting in October. This decision was made in order to allow board members the ability to attend an Indiana School Boards Association conference in Indianapolis on October 2nd.
ISBA conferences feature meetings, exhibits and presentations that provide information about various topics pertaining to education today. According to the ISBA website, this year they partnered with AdvancEd, The Center for Excellence in Leadership of Learning and the Small and Rural Schools Association to ensure that presentations and topics will appeal to any school board member or superintendent regardless of school corporation size or location.
The board will meet once more before the conference, on September 18th and they will reconvene on October 16th to provide any insights gathered from the conference.
